Please put on your clown makeup, because the time has once again come to convince yourself that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is upon us.
Fans just noticed that Taylor Swift has updated her website, with the sections—Apparel, Music, Accessories, Sale—now spelling out AMAs. And since truly nothing is a coincidence when it comes to Taylor Swift and Easter Eggs, it seems fair to assume something is going down at the AMAs on May 26.
I mean...this could just be Taylor reminding us that she’s up for six (6!) AMAs. Orrr this could be an incoming Rep TV announcement. Either way, keep in mind that Taylor’s been teasing Rep TV forever. Like, remember when she posted her Time magazine cover and used a bunch of all-caps SSssSssss?
Or when fans realized that TTPD upside down spells “CAIL” which—according to Google Translate—means “reputation” in Irish?
It’s been a whole ongoing thing. And while only Taylor knows when Rep TV is truly dropping, she told fans it’s going to be amazing. Speaking to Time about the album, Tay said, “It’s a goth-punk moment of female rage at being gaslit by an entire social structure. I think a lot of people see it and they’re just like, ‘Sick snakes and strobe lights.’”
She added that Rep TV would be “fire” and joked of her re-recordings, “I’m collecting horcruxes. I’m collecting infinity stones. Gandalf’s voice is in my head every time I put out a new one. For me, it is a movie now.”
